The socialist senator Juan Luis Soto has ensured that the construction of a new police station in Sewer is a priority for the Government of Spain and the Ministry of the Interior.
"From the Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Senate we want to transfer to all the residents of Alcantarilla and the Region of Murcia that the construction of this police station is a priority in the strategy of the Government of Spain."
Soto wondered why the Town Hall of Sewer took so long to formalize the donation of the plot and register it in the Property Registry of the municipality.
"After the information that we have known in the session of the Interior Commission, we came to the conclusion that who is really paralyzing and has fallen asleep during these summer months, has been the City Council, which until last September 13 did not formalize this donation, "he said.
He assured that the objective of the Government of Spain and the PSOE is the safety and protection of the citizens of Alcantarilla, of the Region of Murcia, and of any other place in the country, "with the transparency and certainty that action will be taken with due firmness".
"For us it is a priority to improve the infrastructures and dependencies where police stations and barracks are located, as well as to dignify the members of the State Security Forces and Corps," he said.
The socialist senator has asked the PP not to deceive the public and to tell the truth, "that for this Government is a priority police station, and is a reality that when you fully own that lot will begin all the steps to build it" .
