It also happened in 2002, but after its release in July, the Local Sewer Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, within the events scheduled for the commemoration of the World Day against Breast Cancer, this Sunday In the traditional Charity Food, he wanted this year to pay him a very dear tribute to Doctor Agustín Navarrete Montoya, to whom Alcantarilla keeps a special affection, since 1967 he began to help the sick and families of our municipality.
The Local Sewer Board of the AECC with its president in charge, Pedro Hernández Caballero, has counted among the more than four hundred people in attendance, with the counselor of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, together with several members of the Municipal Corporation, the new president of the Provincial Board of the AECC, Manuel Molina Boix and the chief colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base and director of the Military Parachute School "Méndez Parada", Francisco Javier Fernández, as well as the management team of the Local Sewer Board of the AECC.
As we have already indicated in 2002, the Local Board of the AECC has already paid tribute, the year in which this City Council also agreed to name a street in Alcantarilla, the same being open with its name since June 2008. But in this At the same time, he wishes to pay tribute to this well-deserved tribute, for whom since last July he left the presidency of the Provincial Board of the AECC, being currently Dr. Navarrete, President of Honor.
With this tribute, the local president Pedro Hernández, whom he met in Albox (Almeria), before Dr. Navarrete arrived in Murcia, wanted it to be another example of the gratitude and demonstration of affection that Alcantarilla has for him.
The president of the Local Board, Pedro Hernández, after some tremendously emotional words to the honoree, making a brief tour of his experiences with him, since he met him and the path taken together in the Association, he delivered a parchment framed in which indicated the extensive reasons for which this tribute was paid.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, thanked him for all the work carried out, in a masterly manner as a professional oncology for our municipality, but also in a very personal way, facilitating and opening many doors to the neighbors who needed their support, reason for which already in 2002 the City Council had the plenary agreement to give name to one of the streets of our municipality and since 2008 already in the street of our city.
But he also stressed the institutional consideration that we have always had during his presidency of the AECC, reminding him of historical relations of his hometown and his region of Almanzora with Alcantarilla, especially of that railway line that united us and that was of vital importance for all , or the most recent one that received in our city the recognition of the Region of Murcia, in the institutional act of the Day of the last Region, where it collected from the hands of the president of the Region, the Diploma of Distinguished Services.
In short, all the words that we have been able to hear in the afternoon, both the president of the Provincial Board, Manuel Molina, or the own counselor of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, have been recognition, gratitude and congratulations for twenty years at the head of the Association at the regional level, but for its 51 years of full dedication to Murcia and to the alcantarilleros.
At the end and after the photographs of rigor, the attendees had the opportunity to end the evening with the performance of the singer José Damián.
