Since the headquarters of the Civil Guard moved to Las Torres de Cotillas, the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía has not stopped accompanying the components of the Benemérita, in that municipality, as well as several members of the Municipal Corporation did.
The Mass was celebrated in the Church of Ntra. Sra. De la Salceda, officiated by the parish priest of the same, Ismael Sánchez, presiding also an image of the Virgen del Pilar, patron of the Civil Guard, in some acts that were chaired by the lieutenant chief of the Las Torres de Cotillas station, Alejandro Gómez, together with the mayoress Torrena, Isabel María Zapata and other civil and military representatives of the Sewer Air Base and the Parachute Infantry Regiment "Zaragoza 5" and Local Police, with a large number of civil guards of said Barracks.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, has had words of gratitude for all the components of the Corps, which since 2013 have their location in Las Torres de Cotillas, the Sewer Quarter is still maintained with some functionality and above all for the service that They provide in the rural areas of our municipality and collaboration both professionally and institutionally with our Local Police and with the Sewer City Council itself and with the residents of our municipality.
