In the morning of today, in the facilities of the Department of Sports and Youth, located in our Indoor Municipal Pool, the program of activities of the "Young October 2018" has been officially presented, a youth program that as a fundamental objective has the promotion of associacionismo, through the different activities that will take place on the weekend of Friday 26 and Saturday 27 of October.
The presentation was made by the General Director of Youth of the Regional Government, Francisco Sánchez and the Councilor for Sports and Youth, Antonio Martínez Griñán.

In the cultural section we find the contests of fast painting, photography and graffiti, with important prizes, reaching the same 12,935 euros.
In this third edition of the International Rapid Painting Competition, for two categories, that of adults from 18 years of age, youth for participants between the ages of 12 and 17, plus a prize for local artist, fully endowed with 9,610 euros, all contributed by Alcantarilla City Council, Plasbel Plásticos, Azud Systems, Cerbeleva, Vicent López Foundation, ASEPIO Business Association of the West Industrial Estate, Vigueras & Carrillo Abogados, Ramírez Sonido;
Hidrogea, Rock 4 Soul, Strado Abogados, Vigilant, Carlín Bookshop, Sewer Merchants Association, Canvas Framing, along with other collaborating companies such as Coca-Cola, E.Leclerc Supermarkets and Hotel Venta Baños.
Last year was already a success of participation and great quality of the works presented in this painting contest.
The fourth Graffiti Contest, this year will have as theme "Children in the popular and traditional games of the Region of Murcia", which aims to promote and disseminate art in our town, where they have been able to participate from 14 years and up to 35, in a group or individual, with a prize of 1,200 euros for the winner, which according to the verdict of the jury has corresponded to José Javier Silvente Teruel, of 700 euros for the second prize, which has corresponded Francisco Javier Rodríguez Cuadrado and 500 euros for the local artist, in this section the winners were Jesús Cruz Trabalón and María Dolores Férez Martínez.
The results of the winners, according to the rules of the contest, were announced on October 2.
We will also have the fourth Photography Contest, in collaboration with the Punto de Enfoque Photographic Association, with the motto: "Tradiciones y corcones huertanos de Alcantarilla", in order to make known the different and peculiar corners of our town, with two prizes to the best photographs and five prizes with commemorative diplomas for the best photographs of local authors, with a total of 975 euros in prizes.
For the best photography, prizes of 200, 150 and 100 euros, together with a diploma for each of them.
Three prizes for the three best photographs of local authors each endowed with a diploma and 50 euros for each of them.
Three prizes for the category of 12 to 17 years, endowed with a diploma and 100, 75 and 50 euros and finally for local authors from 12 to 17 years old, with three prizes of 50 euros for each of them and a diploma.
