In recent months, repeated illegal dumping of wastewater has been detected in the Segura River as it passes through the municipality of Alcantarilla.
This especially endangers Paraje del Agua Salá, the only natural space with which Sewer counts.
The Segura Hydrographic Confederation has already opened an investigation that could cost a penalty to the local council.
"It is necessary for the investigation to reach the bottom and take measures," said the councilman of Weak Sewer Arcadio Martinez, "we are concerned about the inaction of the municipal government of the PP, which may end in the destruction of our natural heritage and put endangering the health of the neighbors. "
Podemos Alcantarilla will appear in the investigation of the Hydrographic Confederation and has presented a motion in which it demands that the City Council investigate these facts and improve water quality controls.
