The Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura (CHS), a body attached to the Ministry of Transition for Ecology, is investigating two possible discharges of sewage into the Segura River that occurred this morning in the municipality of Alcantarilla.

Agents of the Water Commission of the CHS, before the episode of rains this weekend, have moved to various strategic points along the river Segura to conduct a preventive strike.

It has been during the same when two wastewater discharges have been detected, which are being investigated at this time.

The analysis of the samples collected during the inspections may involve the opening of sanction files if damage to the Hydraulic Public Domain is observed.
