205 classrooms welcome these students in the eight public centers, two concerted centers and one special education center
The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez Cachá, visited yesterday morning one of the educational centers of our municipality, the Jacinto Benavente School, accompanied by the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, along with the Councilor for Education, Juan Manuel Gómez, as well as the general director of Attention to Diversity and Educational Quality, Esperanza Moreno, pending the start of the new course in 2018/19 in the eight public centers, two concerted of Infant and Primary Education, as well as the of Special Education, being received by the director of the Jacinto Benavente center, Trinidad Martínez, along with teachers of the management team.
During the visit to the school, the counselor was interested in an online platform that uses the CEIP Jacinto Benavente, as well as other centers in the Region.
The application 'Class Dojo' allows the teacher to create his own virtual classroom through avatars that represent each student.
This includes the attendance control and the monitoring of the work that is done in the classroom, and also allows the interaction with the families.
In Sewer have returned today to the classrooms 4,629 students, being the beginning of the classes with absolute normality, 67 less students than in the past school year.
1,399 students of Early Childhood Education, in 61 classrooms, 3,171 primary school students, in 137 classrooms, 13 students in the Open Classroom, in the two classrooms that are located in the Jacinto Benavente and Ntra. Sra. De la Salud centers and 46 students in ages between 5 and 21 years in the Special Education School Eusebio Martínez, in 5 classrooms.
The drop in students is in Primary Education with 51 fewer students and 15 in Early Childhood Education.
Alcantarilla has bilingual services in all its centers (CEIP Campoamor, Jacinto Benavente, Las Tejeras, Ntra. Sra. De la Salud, Jara Carrillo and Vistabella, as well as in the two arranged Sacred Heart and Samaniego School), with four with a dining room school (CEIP San José Obrero, Jacinto Benavente, Ntra. Sra. de la Asunción and the Teaching Center Samaniego), and two schools with Open Classroom (Jacinto Benavente and Ntra. Sra. de la Salud).
ESO, Baccalaureate and Adult Education students will start in Sewer on September 12 and Vocational Training will begin on Friday, September 21.
