In the morning of today they have been presented in the Town Hall of Sewer, the acts that around the Day of the National Holiday, having as central act on Sunday, October 7, the Tribute to the Flag and to the Fallen by Spain, in this already traditional and a well-deserved tribute, in its tenth year in a row, this year to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the First Parachute Jump in the Military School of Parachute "Méndez Parada", a Flag Jura for Civilian Personnel will be celebrated, with air and land parade , ending with a parachutist exhibition in charge of the Air Force Parachute Patrol of the Air Force (PAPEA).
The presentation has been carried out by the chief colonel of the Air Base, Mr. Francisco Javier Fernández, the mayor of Alcantarilla, Mr. Joaquín Buendía and the delegate of Defense in the Region of Murcia, Mr. José Ignacio Martí.
10 years already, since the year 2009 the Adolfo Suárez square was inaugurated, the traditional act of Tribute to the Flag and the Fallen by Spain will be celebrated, all framed in the commemoration of the Day of the National Holiday, being carried out by the Air Force, through the Sewer Air Base, as organizers together with the City Council, with the participation of the military of all the units that have headquarters in the Base, the Military School of Parachuting "Méndez Parada", the EZAPAC (Air Force Parachute Sappers Squadron), the PAPEA (Parachute Patrol of the Air Force), with a paratrooper exhibition at the end of the event, supported by the 721 Air Force Squadron, joining the event for ten years also already- the Music Unit of the General Air Academy of San Javier, an act that will be chaired by the Lieutenant General and Director of the Higher Center for National Defense Studies (C

After the speeches and the hymn of the Air Force, the always moving moment of the Tribute to the Fallen by Spain will be celebrated, where the presiding authorities will place a laurel wreath at the foot of the monolith, in which the Patron will meet of the Air Force, the Virgin of Loreto, finishing the offering with a rifle salvo and pass of T-12B Aviocar planes belonging to the EMP 721 Air Force Squadron, the same ones that at the end of the event will also participate in the parade air and land with the Squad of Spenders, the Music Unit of the AGA and the three participating squadrons, both the Mixed School of Parachute and the EZAPAC.
Once the Forces participating in the Military Parade have dislocated the formation, the Air Force Parachute Patrol of the Air Force, the PAPEA, will make an exhibition with a parachute launch, in the Fair and Festival Venue, which is also in the well-known Entrevías area in our municipality and thus also delight the large children who are going to give appointment that morning.
