The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, visited the Jacinto Benavente de Alcantarilla school on the occasion of the school start 2018-2019.
In this municipality, 4,580 students have returned to the classrooms today; the school has also begun with the 111 students from Albudeite and the 151 from Campos del Río.
In total, 4,842 students have returned to the classrooms this Wednesday.
During the visit to the school, the counselor was interested in an online platform that uses the CEIP Jacinto Benavente, as well as other centers in the Region.
The application 'Class Dojo' allows the teacher to create his own virtual classroom through avatars that represent each student.
This includes the attendance control and the monitoring of the work that is done in the classroom, and also allows the interaction with the families.
Martínez-Cachá congratulated the educational community of the school and stressed the "importance" that schools promote the use of new technologies and the application of methodologies that have as a central axis the student in the classroom.
