The Autonomous Community finances the Sewer City Council with 68,305 euros to carry out actions aimed at covering the basic needs of families and support for family and work-life balance.
Of them, 21,190 euros are to subsidize 200 seats of the summer school of the municipality, in order to offer a resource that responds to the need of parents during their children's holidays, which go to a safe space, which promotes the integration, learning and coexistence of children.
The basic requirement to access this service is that both parents work, receive training for employment or are actively seeking employment.
Specifically, 130 places were offered in July and 70 in August.
In addition, 90 places of dining service have been awarded.
The counselor of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, together with the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, visited the school today, located in the public school Jacinto Benavente, and where this summer the City offers 67 places more than the previous one.
Violante Tomás recalled that the regional government allocates more than 2.5 million euros to the social care of families in the region who are in a vulnerable situation, thus covering the needs of food, hygiene, clothing, housing and employment.
