A representation of personnel of the Military School of Parachute "Méndez Parada" headed by the Chief Colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base DF Javier Fernández Fernández has participated in a visit to the Center for the Treatment of Solid Urban Wastes of Cañada Hermosa.

This visit is part of the activities that, in the area of ​​integration and implementation of the Environmental Management System of the Air Force, the Unit performs to improve awareness, involvement of staff and minimize the impacts that their operations have on the environment.

To make compatible the missions of the Armed Forces with an Environmental Policy based on the concept of sustainable development, conserving at all times the operative capacity that allows to fulfill the missions that the legislation assigns to the Air Force is a commitment of the EMP "Méndez Parada" which is based on the Environmental Policy of the Air Force.
