In this first phase of the Botanical Garden is to have 25 species of trees, 23 shrubs and 19 species of herbs and shrubs, located next to the Museo de la Huerta and future buildings of the Centre for Citizen Participation and Local Development Agency, part of the project Rehabilitation and Revitalization Archaeological, Environmental and Socio-Economic Environment Complex Ethnological Museum of the Huerta de Murcia and the natural setting of the "Water Room".

In this work of the Directorate General Botanical Garden Natural Heritage and Biodiversity will invest 100,000 euros and whose development is part of the agreement with La Caixa, so that also constitute a source of employment, in part to people from disadvantaged groups.

With the establishment of the Botanic Garden, which will include tree and shrub species in the Mediterranean region will be promoted to its study, preservation and dissemination of indigenous plant diversity, favoring the maintenance of landscape and environment and even , of the cultural identity of our town, preserving the traditional culture of the garden, not only from the Museo de la Huerta, but from the perspective of a garden alive and active.

The aqueduct arches, after excavation and restoration, wheel and intended as the ethnological museum, the most significant elements of the largest public green area within the ring road as well as cultural and environmental issues, and in this environment where Botanical Garden seeks to locate this in Sewell.

AMBITIOUS PROJECT FOR ALL SEWER
