Tovar and Lázaro González Mellado visits the Local Investment Fund in Sewell (21/09/2009)

The government has paid 165 million euros in 664 works of the Murcia Region involving the creation of more than 13,000 jobs so far

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar and Sewer Mayor Lazaro Sanchez Mellado, this morning visited various works of the Local Investment Fund in Sewell.

Specifically, they have visited the site of the State Fund in the Road Towers Cotillas and Sewer Prince Avenue in which five works are being carried out:

The paving of sidewalks, construction of a service road and a roundabout at the Highway Towers Cotillas from Prince Avenue to the border with New Javalí, amounting to 1,095,120 euros award and the creation of 9 jobs.

Environmental integration by building a "green wall" and the elimination of barriers to urban development in Prince Avenue, for an amount of EUR 531,256 and 12 new jobs.

Two projects for the renewal of street lighting Towers Road Cotillas from Prince Avenue to the municipal boundary and a section of the Cruise-340, with a combined budget of EUR 824,597 and 11 jobs created.

And the packaging and new landscaping of the passage of the National Urban 340, amounting to 748,150 euros and the creation of 7 new jobs.

On the other hand, González Tovar, Lazarus Mellado and other members of the Municipal Corporation has also visited the construction of the new Sports Hall in the Public School Campoamor.

These works have a reversal of the Local Investment Fund of 1,364,160 euros and generate 18 direct jobs.

Sewer The City Council presented 13 projects to the Local Investment Fund to invest EUR 7,015,107 allocated for it.

These projects initially planned to create 152 new jobs in the municipality.

After the initial checks, all works were authorized.

So far, the City has already received the initial payment, 70 percent of the budget allocation of all the works, amounting to 4,880,496 euros.

Tovar González pointed out that as is occurring in the whole region, the State Fund projects are generating more jobs than expected.

This has been noted that "the employment generated by the 13 State in Sewer Fund is creating 188 direct jobs, 24 percent more than originally planned."

The Local Investment Fund to date

The Government delegate reported that to date, the Ministry of Planning Policy has paid the first half, 70 percent of the total budget of almost all projects the Local Investment Fund in the region.

In fact, said, takes transferred to all municipalities in the region EUR 165,749,327, corresponding to 664 of the 673 projects that were presented.

Also pointed out that 30% is being delivered upon completion of each performance and justify the investment with the Government of Spain.

In this sense, González Tovar explained that since late last June, is beginning to pay the completion of the work of the State Fund in the Region of Murcia.

In particular, the municipalities of Murcia, Lorca Lorqui Santomera and have already received payment for eleven projects.
