Promotion announces the improvement of the access road to the industrial estate West from Alcantarilla (20/03/2017)

The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure will execute a project of reinforcement of firm in the road RM-E4, well-known like way of the Soldiers, to improve the access to the industrial estate West from Alcantarilla, that counts on an average intensity of traffic to the year of 2 , 2 million vehicles.

Rivera and the management team of the Ministry met today with the Government team of Alcantarilla City Council and later visited, along with the mayor of the town, Joaquín Buendía, the road where improvements will be made.

The works will include reinforcement of sign, renewal of signaling and road markings, as well as actions of adaptation in the margins, ditches and renovation of the drainage systems.

This road has a length of three kilometers and connects the urban core of Alcantarilla with the roundabout access to the industrial estate located on the RM-611 (San Ginés-El Palmar), so that it is a frequent access road to the complex Business from Alcantarilla, San Ginés and El Palmar.

Adequacy of pedestrian access to Puebla de Soto

The councilor also informed the mayor that the Ministry has also drafted the project to carry out an action that will enable a pedestrian transit area on the RM-560 road, connecting Alcantarilla with Puebla de Soto and Molina de Segura to To facilitate the displacements of the neighbors between Alcantarilla and the Murcian hamlet of Puebla de Soto.

This action has a budget of 119,500 euros.

The Ministry has already carried out work to adapt and improve the road safety of this road, which consisted in repairing and rebuilding a part of the stone wall that collapsed on the ditch near the nine kilometer point, causing the road to narrow and leaving Part of the cantilevered platform.

The work was completed with the reinforcement of the road sign to the junction of Puebla de Soto, which is where the pedestrian traffic zone will be enabled.

Pedro Rivera said that "these two actions involve an investment of about 450,000 euros in Alcantarilla in improving road infrastructure."
