Community and Alcantarilla Town Hall improve the services of attention to the citizen of the Local Police (27/02/2017)

The Ministry of Finance and Public Administration and the Alcantarilla City Council have completed a project to improve the quality of service to citizens by the Local Police, through the implementation of an Integral Control Panel that delimits the processes that are Develop on a daily basis in police activity through indicators that are continuously reviewed.

This novel initiative in the field of public administration has been presented today in Alcantarilla by the Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo, and the mayor of that municipality, Joaquín Buendía, who have been accompanied by the head of the Local Police, Alfonso García Molina, and the director of the School of Training and Innovation of the Public Administration (EFIAP), Francisco Saavedra and the general director of Public Safety and Emergencies, Manuel Durán.

The Minister of Finance stressed that "we are facing a clear case of success for the improvement of management in the field of public administration, which we will move to other units of the Administration."

He congratulated the City of Alcantarilla, "which has demonstrated the close collaboration that we must continue between the regional and local administrations to respond in an efficient and coordinated way to the demands that come to us from citizens."

The project of the Quality Plan began a year ago when the Local Police decided to improve its management to guarantee the quality of the services offered to the citizens and their continuous improvement.

To this end, she requested the collaboration of the EFIAP, which has acted as a consultant when it comes to approaching a training project, with a coordinator and a tutor teacher, as well as with tools and methods that respond to the needs.

The project involved 25 people from the Local Police staff, through working groups, which have defined the mission and vision of this police unit.

They have also elaborated a Process Map to clarify how they respond to the demands they receive from the citizens, as well as a list of factors of success, among which are the efficient provision of the services assigned to the Police.

In the same way, the different processes that are developed in the daily management of the service have been established and procedural manuals have been elaborated that, finally, have allowed to create an Integral Table of Control for the monitoring of the process management, the control of The achievement of objectives and the drafting of an Improvement Plan.
