Education presents in Sewell, in the "Jacinto Benavente" College, the Quality Plan School Lunch (10/05/2016)

The Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, accompanied by the mayor of Sewell, Joaquín Buendía, introduced this new Action Plan coinciding with the development of a lunch at the CEIP Jacinto Benavente in our town.

Thus, Sanchez-Mora explained that "it is numerous performances with which complement the advice and guidelines of the Quality Plan with which become eaters in a classroom more where students learn. Together with the director of the Center, Trinidad Martinez, will also attend the director general of educational Centers, Maria Dolores Valcarcel and the Councillor for Education, Juan Manuel Gomez. Before going to the dining room, also they had the opportunity to visit some of the classrooms of the school.

The Ministry of Education and Universities, through the Directorate General of Educational Centers and in collaboration with the University of Murcia, is promoting a new Action Plan Quality Plan School Lunch with new training activities, nutritional studies and lectures for students.

Sewer Mayor Joaquin Buendia said that "this is one more measure of the Government of the Region, which today presents the Minister of Education, in our town of great interest to the entire educational community, especially for families, but also for these students, to convert these dining rooms with their teachers and their instructors in a classroom more. Given that we Sewer spread over five school canteens that we (Jacinto Benavente with two shifts of food-, Ntra. Sra. of the Assumption, San Jose Obrero, Eusebio Martinez Samaniego, about seven hundred students. 133 of these students receive scholarships for school canteen of the Ministry of Education, with an amount of scholarships for 98,442 euros dining in Alcantarilla ".

Thus the Action Plan 2016 includes a training course CPR (Center for Language and Communication) for teachers of schools with school meal service on "Strategies for improving lifestyle habits and disease prevention in children and adolescents ".

The program will run for 5 and 6 October.

On the other hand are planned lectures and workshops to students in schools with school canteen.

Thus, planned workshops in schools Jacinto Benavente Sewer, Micaela Sanz de Archena, Santa Florentina de La Palma, San Fernando de Lorca, Virgen de la Vega de Cobatillas, New Schools El Palmar, Maria Maroto of Murcia, Antonio Delgado Dorrego of Sangonera la Verde, Vicente Medina of Sangonera la Seca, Assumption Jordan of Puerto Lumbreras, El Recuerdo San Javier Ntra. Sra. del Rosario Torre Pacheco and San Jose Calasanz of Yecla.

The talks are planned in the municipalities of San Javier, Lorca and Murcia days 10,17 and 24 May, and will be taught by Dr. Salvador Zamora Navarro -Catedrático of Physiology at the University of Murcia- and Dra. Francisca Pérez -Professor flames of Physiology of the UMU.

297 schools and apply Quality Dining Plan

The Quality Plan School Lunch prepared by the Ministry of Education and Universities and applies to a total of 283 centers in the region.

In total, 224 have joined the Plan canteens belonging to public schools and 73 private schools canteens.

The Minister added that this program sets the operation of school canteens as "a classroom more so to maintain the continuity of the school day with complementary and extracurricular activities, and develop healthy habits and attitudes among students".

In addition, Maria Isabel Sanchez Mora said that "during this course we have more than 13,500 users lunchroom in preschools and primary and 750 in the Children's Community School, and over 5,000 of them access the service so completely free. "
