PP: Joaquín Buendía reduces municipal debt by 20 million euros (01/04/2019)

The recovery of economic indicators prior to the crisis;

the strong municipal investment in infrastructures and services;

the attraction of large companies to industrial estates;

and the creation of employment, main axes in economic matters of the legislature that comes to an end.

Three years.

That is the period that Joaquín Buendía has had enough to achieve a record reduction in the debt of the Sewer City Council.

No less than 20 million since April 2015, as the Consistory closed the previous term with a debt of 51 million euros as of May 31.

That same year, the government team managed to reduce the debt by almost 2 million euros in the second half of the year.

And is that the reduction of debt has been a constant in the management of the Popular Party government team since Joaquín Buendía was appointed mayor.

Already since his second year in office, the City Council reduced the debt by almost 18.5 million in just three years: 2016, 2017 and 2018.

But the purpose of the Popular Party is not to settle for the current numbers, but that the City continue to reduce the debt to recover the economic indicators before the crisis.

Therefore, this 2019 is also a record, and in the first two months of the year the government team has reduced the debt by no less than one million euros in 59 days.

The forecast is that the next month of May the reduction rubs the 20 million euros.

This supposes not only a saving for the municipal coffers, but that it directly affects all the neighbors of the municipality.

And it is that the municipal debt has not been reduced by applying cuts, but that the current legislature has been characterized by a strong municipal investment in infrastructures and services, which has resulted in a clear commitment of the business fabric by Alcantarilla.

The Polígono Oeste regains its position as the first business center in the Region, while the large companies have settled in the San Andrés Polygon, located on the Northwest highway, in a clear commitment of the municipality for economic solvency and employment.

The mayor has already put his eyes on the next term: "We can not assure that it will happen, but we must seriously consider the possibility of ending the municipal debt in the next four years."

For Joaquín Buendía, "the improvement in the economic indexes has an impact on the creation of employment, which positively affects the revenue of the administration, and if we make the right decisions, as we are doing, the income that comes from the economic improvement serves to improve the living conditions of our citizens, through better services and social policy The mayor is clear: "We have entered the positive economic path, and the economic and labor dynamism of our municipality is not going to stop.

Nobody is going to stop us.
