"It will include a senior classroom, as has been done in large cities, such as Elche," says Saavedra.

For this purpose, a specific space will be enabled in a municipal building or in an educational center.

"Our radius of action will be thirty kilometers around, so that the opening of this space will have a positive impact on the local economy because students who travel to our city to attend tutorials can access the services of our shops. and hotel business. "

The mayoral candidate advances that the Municipal Socialist Group, at the beginning of the next term, will present a motion to the Plenary so that the political parties support, unanimously, an institutional request from the City Council to the UNED to host an extension of this teaching institution .

"The next step will be to include in the municipal budgets a specific item to cover the salaries of the teachers in charge of tutoring," clarifies the candidate on the administrative procedures to be followed by the Consistory.

The UNED has more than 250,000 students throughout the country, among other reasons, for the price of their studies, since the cost of credits of some of the degrees offered ranges from 13 euros to 21.60 euros.

"Culture and training are the drivers of job creation and employment, so for us they will be strategic axes of our municipal policies," reflects the candidate Francisco Saavedra.

"The extension of the UNED will be one of the star projects of the electoral program that the PSOE is designing for the upcoming municipal elections, with the aim of making Alcantarilla a great city in all aspects."
