The 2019 Carnival in Alcantarilla was held on Sunday morning with a brilliant grand parade, where the parades and groups that toured our main street had the opportunity to offer their rich costumes, with cheerful music and choreography, with originality and a Perfect coordination, starting from Termino Street, as usual, to San Pedro Square, where the prizes established by the Sewer City Council were delivered.
The two FIRST PRIZES were for the COMPARSA LOCAL with € 600, which the jury awarded to the comparsa "MARACANÁ", of Alcantarilla, while that of the COMPARSA VISITANTE with € 600 was for the comparsa "TAMBA TAYA", of Mula.
The SECOND PRIZE, endowed with € 300 for the compagny "SAMANA" of Mula and THIRD PRIZE, endowed with € 200, went to the Comparsa "THAINDA" de Alcantarilla.
The three QUARTERS AWARDS, endowed with 100 euros and a batch of HERO Spain products, were for the comparsas: "FLORES DEL MEDITERRÁNEO" from El Palmar (Murcia), SHAMBALA from Sangonera la Verde and "BEYSA" from Alcantarilla.
While the three following prizes, endowed both with batches of Hero España products, were for the comparsas "CARMEN ROMERO", "NUEVOS PASOS" and "IGUAZÚ", all of them from Alcantarilla.
The jury of this edition will be composed, as president by María Luisa Martínez León, Councilor for Culture, Tourism and Celebrations of the Alcantarilla City Council, accompanied by the vocalists Antonio Luis Ramírez, from 7TV Murcia, the Murcian singer Salva Ortega, María López , Reina de la Huerta 2015, professional dancer and choreographer, Encarni Riquelme Oliva, costume designer for carnival, Francisca Terol, councilor for Social Welfare and Health, Carmen Manzanera, news director for Radio Sintonía and Ginés Almagro, president and creative director of the comparsas Denébola and Dafira, exercising as secretary Juan Antonio Martínez López, head of service of the Culture and Celebrations Area.
